Out of the Wild

I just watched the first three episodes in succession. I like it. I wonder about their food intake though. It seems that if the only food they took in were the small animals they've managed to shoot that they'd be a lot more tired/hungry.

I am amazed that after all this time you not only remembered this thread, but you posted in it as well. Congratulations CubicZirconia. Congratulations.

no idea, but there is a little bit too much chitchat to fast foward through.
regular reality show footage of each member griping.

Remember? I'm, assuming he just searched for the topic?

Just saw the epi Trophy Hunter.
Man, its getting rough for the stranded.
I was wondering if that one guy was gay. I guess this epi they outed him big time.
I have a lot of respect for the asian chick. She's like 5 foot tall and 90 pounds and is hanging in there. Especially thru the illness she had. And being a lawyer I can't imagine she gets a ton of exercise.
One thing I wonder about. Whey do the spend x number of days at each shelter? Seems if they should leave on the day after they catch some food to give them the best chance to get to the next shelter. This last epi they had nothing to eat the day before they left the comfy cabin, and now have to march on empty stomachs.
Wonder if that's part of the arrangement with the shows producers?

I don't usually watch reality type shows, but this one is cool.

Yes its a pres-et # of days at each shelter. They can't immediately move on. You haven't see the airplane one yet then have you?

There is another show starting up very similar except its in Africa... I think its on History. Now I have to look it up....

I think I only caught part of that one. The had to take shelter under the crashed plan?
I guess I'll watch that epi ON Demand, since I apparently did miss something.

Oh yeah. I forgot to mention it won't be on next week.
When it returns in 2 weeks it looks like a two hour episode.
It looks like the ending.

It's amusing to see some of these characters....lack of fitness.....lack of necessary ambition.....and most importantly.....lack of common sense.

Like what?
They started out rough but have learned quite a bit. Not to mention when you starve for X days and burn the number of calories they are, your brain doesn't quite operate at full capacity.

That's the new show on History that I mentioned a bit ago... looks similarly interesting.

I'm gonna give that show a chance. The History lineup has been annoying me for a while .. Ice Road Truckers, Axe Men ... ughhh .... just not interested. I'll go into it with low expectations and hope to be pleasantly surprised.
