I haven't really been following the latest hardware news for a couple years now and hoped to just get some quick guidance.
All I really want to do is have a computer to drive a 4k TV at an acceptable refresh rate. I might game a little but its not a priority.
Right now I have an ivy bridge @3.4 with 4gb ram and a 128 gb ssd
Should I grab a video card and some ram and a cheap laptop or just get a mid range laptop that can take care of everything?
I ask because I do want a laptop as well and being cost effective is a major priority.
