Here's one:

- "What flies over your head and makes a 'WHOOSH!' sound?"
- "A fucking Chris Rock reference."

FURTHERMORE:

Do you feel that a black Commander in Chielf would be less capable at leading our great country than a certifiably mentally retarded man or woman? This is what I'm hearing from your post, and it's rather upsetting to my gentle sensibilities to see you make this sort of comparison.

Consequently to justify himself, he needs to "stay the course". The Reps threw themselves behind Bush and now they are like the links in Marley's chain, bound to Bush's metaphorical cashboxes and tied to the leg of America. Not pretty.

No surprises here.

That's the best Christmas Carol reference I've heard in years!
Actually the only one I've heard in years.
Or ever.

Sorry, it's late. My sarcasm meter didn't pick up the first reference. My bad.

As far as the 'furthermore'... I think my response 'whooshed' you. Read it again. If that doesn't help search my posts. I'm an Obama supporter. :)

I nominate this for stupidest thread of the year.

At least it is in the top ten.

Don't I at least get credit for using Talking Heads lyrics in the thread title?

Seriously though, how can people hand out money to be fed these lines like they are idiots?

I guess they really are.

I personally wouldn't be able to keep the crab cakes down.

When I see this stuff (especially like things like "to keep iraq secure and free") I can't help but think how we are being bullshitted too and spinned in the same way other governments like the communists 50 years ago lied through their teeth about the progress they were experiencing. I'm not calling bush a communist, or america communist so don't give me that shite. What I'm saying is that the same propaganda techniques are being used and people just accept it without thinking twice. its sickening, sad, and makes me because we think how fickle they may have been in believing such B.S. when we are just as fickle.

Well, I see the bush fans are out in force on this thread ... I also see after all bush has F'ed up and done ZERO to improve this country they still want to give him a blow job..... That's the sad part. What's even worse? If bush could run a Third time they would vote for him!

Scary? Yeah.... You bet....

In all fairness, what was he supposed to say? "Sorry guys... but it's over. The Rs have no chance this time around. I think we should all go home, sip some whiskey and listen to Elvis Costello records while sitting alone in the dark."

I don't see how this would be surprising to anyone. Hillary still thinks she has a shot too. How delusional is that?

And, if you are confident that McCain will win the election, then you are dillusional.

And if you think there will be major change in national policy under Obama, then you are delusional.

The election is irrelevant. Bush is right for once, Republicans WILL hold the white house in 2008, for 2 reasons.

1. The new president's inauguration is in 2009.
2. We haven't had a close to legitimate election in this country in over a decade. Regardless of who people vote for, McCain will be occupying the white house in 2009.
