It's amazing how people can be suckered by pretty language.

This is the same Obama that has continued the same terrible policies and ideas from the previous administration, yet won his campaign selling nothing short of true political change.

But he's a damn fine speaker.

Reader. He's a damn fine READER. WE've sen what happens when the TOTUS fails.
I will give him credit that he didn't blame the Republicans and the right wing media.
He did point out, like a lot of other people have, that the political devide in the country has gotten to such a point that people like Perknose are now calling people fucking assholes. Only fucking assholes call people fucking assholes.

Prominent? I wonder how many people knew her name before the shooting, I wonder how many people know the name of their own congressman/woman?

Probably more the typical person or at least some gangbanger who gets murder or stupid lovers qurral.

Prominent Members of Government were murdered and maimed
Civillians, completely innocent were murdered and maimed
The assilant did this during a time of significant unrest

This wasn't just some simple murder over some drug deal or lovers quarell. With that said, how come you can't figure this out?

True there were some government members (judge and congressional aide) that more that 99% of the US population didn't know. How are these innocent civilians any different than other innocent civilians that lost their lives in the past two years? How do you consider this a time of significant unrest? How is it any different than 5 years or 10 years ago?

Obama has a talent for TelePrompter reading, and he and his speechwriters came up with an excellent speech. Kudos to him for coming to Arizona and beating the pressure to make this another Wellstone "memorial/pep rally". I imagine that to the bereaved, his presence and his speech helped ease their pain.

You don't seem to understand basic concepts. Most people read in their heads. He is actually speaking, thus is a speaker as the words are being vocalized.

Same ole' right wing talking points. Are you guys capable of independent thought?

You mean the one where he claimed that she opened her eyes with him in the room?

Obama is heartless, soulless and is showing his colors. Say what you want, spin out how you want. Butt it's true.

If what you are saying is spin, does that still mean its true?

It's unfortunate for you that those additional documents agree with everything I've said to this point. They simply explain why he has the powers he does without giving him any of the additional powers you would give him.

Oh? What were those powers?

This conversation is entertaining if for no other reason than the hole you keep digging.

His duties and powers are explicitly spelled out in the Constitution. None of these includes spending government funds to travel across the country in order to give a motivational speech/eulogy. Is it his job to be the head of the executive branch of government or a celebrity speaker?

- Because it was an purposeful, senseless act of violence. Not an accident of any sort.

- The economy wasn't crap? You didn't have as big as a fued between republicans and democrats.

Well, 3,500 people did, kind of, show up?

And in related news... Boner, "Drinker of the House", declined an invatation to go to Arizona w\ the President, to attend a cocktail party.

Stay classy, Boner.

I believe that if you ask the families of the many innocent people who have been killed in the last few years and they will say their family member's murder was senseless act of violence as well

We've had a feud between democrats and republican as long as I can remember. Mud slinging is now considered the normal modus operandi for campaigns. Look at the negative ads from both parties.

Yes, but it wasn't motiviated politically. This man sought out to kill a member of government because he disagree with her. It's essentially an assault on, us, as a nation. Granted, he's probably just crazy but his actions are that.

Yea?

but, over time, some of these ads have become so negative it has left some of us wondering if we could possibly tone it down. Which, many people think we can and ought to.

Where is your proof that it was politically motivated? From everything that is known at this point shows otherwise. The shooter didn't watch TV or listen to the radio.

You call for politicians to tone it down but just as soon as they see they're losing the mud slinging will be in full effect. Never the less these negative ads had absolutely had nothing to do with the shooting in Arizona.

He shot congress women and judge. He shot them, because, in his own words, were holding back the country. He read plenty of absurd anarchist material. Granted, he probably really didn't know what was going on due to his scizophernia.

Probably, but things like putting crosshairs over someone district, or a meme of "don't retreat, reload" is cleary something that doesn't need to used in politics.

Now I don't think there should be any laws made banning this behavior but I don't believe it's something that should be tolerated in politics, no matter how direct or seemlying vauge.
