Elizabeth Warren (here reading from her new book “This Fight is Our Fight: The Battle to Save America’s Middle Class.”)

Hey, a guy can dream, can't he?

Metaphorically, I see Trump as the cartoon cat Garfield but without the charm . . . a big, fat, lazy, entitled pussy. Otoh, Senator Warren has the balls to be the leader our country needs and deserves.

Let's face it, the bar for the House to bring articles of impeachment against a President and then for two thirds of the Senate to vote to remove him is impossibly high, especially given the Republican majorities in both houses. Plus, the idea of President "I can't be in the same room with a woman without my wife present" Pence sends shivers down my spine. Trump is a buffoon, but Pence is a true ideologue.

So, a 2020 Trump vs Warren race is not out of the question. Not only would the primary fight tear the GOP apart, but, if Trump prevailed, the race between him and Warren would yield copious lulz! Trump would put his foot in his big fat mouth so often and so cluelessly it would be a cornucopia of neat, sweet, can't delete tweets.

Like I said, a guy can dream!

Warren 2020! :D

While I think Warren is right about many things she is very poor at gaining consensus, she also tolerates being berated by conservatives too much, plus she has a poor speaking voice. She'd be Hillary 2.0 if she ran at the moment.

*Ma Resident, I've voted for Warren.

I find that quite funny , for both B Clinton elections , I typed in Elmer Fudd :)
It's not like we had much choise.

Pick one of the following for your next president: Satan , the Devil , or Beelzebub
For Vice We have: Ebola , bubonic , or Zika

Zika does have some advantages , because 25 years later we'd have a good crop of Prime Presidential Pinheaded Candidates to choose from :p

I did vote for Trump ... No I didn't vote FOR him , I would have voted for ANYONE but the Hillary Rodham

While I hate and fear Trump and crew, Clinton would have been completely hamstrung even worse than Obama.

My "hope" is like doubling down on a bet...yeah, he might get us into a war accidentally (naming the wrong country to bomb or over some slight), but he also might drag the GOP into the abyss. I'm hoping they get little accomplished on a large scale (poisoning the streams of people in coal country sucks for them, but that's what they voted for!) Democrats need a good, young candidate or two to rise up though. So it's all or nothing. Perhaps in the long run he can become a good thing, especially considering a large chunk of his demographic is dying off faster than they can be replaced (hopefully).

He already seems to be affecting the populist equivalent types in Europe, they are failing and that is a good thing.

Too early to tell. We don't know what the economy will look like in 2020. If we have another massive recession after giving tax cuts to the rich, Warren could be well positioned.

I think the best person to run against him is Jon Stewart.

People always want an outsider. And Jon is that and he has name recognition.

I have been told I have a very Different Point of View (DPV) . That is a very polite way of stating what people ACTUALLY say about ME :)
My DPV is that there were ~16 politicos running against Trump. Trump was selected because he was Not a politico. Then he beat Hillary , and she still does not understand that.

All that noise about "Giving Trump the Big Red Nuclear Button ? Are you crazy , he will start WW III ! and IV if there is anything left !! " ( OK , I exaggerated that last bit :) )
Hillary was the one blaming the Russians for her e-mail fiasco and hacking the DNC and altering the Vote so she lost the election ... who would be more likely to start a war ? Trump SEEMS to be trying to make peace with another 800 lb. gorilla on the planet. I think he could do better with China , but still ... only time will tell.

I Think of the Presidency like a rocket. First stage you elect one ... Second stage he holds office ... toward the end is when you finally find out: Is it another Dog in Orbit ? A Man on the Moon ! Or a MIRV :p

Right now the best person running against Trump is Trump. If we can keep him around as long as possible while also stopping him from doing anything substantive, that will probably be the best outcome.

Every moment he spends sitting there spinning his wheels in his own muddy shitpuddle is one more moment the GOP can't advance their sociopathic agenda, and even better, he keeps spattering the entire party with said muddy shit.

So I say keep him around a couple years, forcing him to suffer through an ever-escalating humiliation conga, and by late 2018 hopefully the GOP has been made completely illegitimate.

WTF are you smoking? Pocahontas? No fucking thanks. How about dredging up an actual viable candidate for a change instead of all the liberal nutjobs the Dems threw at us last time?

Republican working class base will be begging for Socialism once their own party and automation is done with them. As techies, we have a societal responsibility to automate away jobs in Trump country :)

@BoomerD, if you think any Democratic mainline candidate since the early 70s has been a "liberal nutjob," you're so far out to sea you'll get lost in the Bermuda Triangle.

Obama was right of Reagan. Hillary Clinton is a 90s Republican. Know what people call Sanders in the civilized world? "Centrist."

Corey Booker(?) the big guy who saved a woman from a house fire on the way to work. Right now he's the right guy. Progressive, good speaker, younger, able to not put up with crap.

We all saw what happens when they go low we go high.
Sounds good but reality is they go low and we end up on the ground with a bloody nose.

fixed for accuracy. It doesn't matter how much the (R)'s hate the left...and they will, no matter what is done...but it DOES matter how much the American people hate the Dems...keep offering them liberals who border on socialism, and the only votes you'll get will be from minimum wage working millennials who believe the government owes them a living wage for flipping burgers.

I'm a Democrat...have been a Democrat for almost 50 years...and it sickens me that the party thinks so little of its working-class members that it keeps giving us candidates like Bernie, Pocahontas, McGovern, Dukakis....and several others.

Corey is fucked.

He voted for big pharma and refused us to allow importation of cheaper generics from overseas.

And its funny all the conservaterrorists try to say small town America is better than liberal city America but everytime you go to a small town all you see is rampant corruption.

I was just in a small town and the son of a city council member got high on meth, got into his car, tried running from cops and ended up driving through the house of an old couple and the pickup ended up in her basement. Guess what the cops did? Release him into the custody of his dad who sits on the city council.

And that's what we're supposed to like and admire? Lets face it.. its there in every small town in America where the people in power pull all the strings.

Conservaterrorists have more than just a screw loose, they're fucked in the brain with the constant brainwashing of fake propaganda.

Atleast I'm just calling for their move to Putinland where they'll be happy with their rules and no liberals to fear. Could be so much worse.

You seem to have an obsession with genitalia. First you endorsed Hillary, then you wanted Michelle Obama to run, and now Elizabeth Warren. All of those candy dates have one thing in common, they have vaginas. Just an observation. :D
