How dare you! That's three demerits for you Skoorb. And right after you were in the green with your Audioslave praise😛😉

I have a growing home gym (no squat cage but I just do ~ my own bodyweight so all I need is a little help getting it to my shoulders) in a corner of our largest bedroom. It is SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO convenient -- I almost never miss a workout since we've had it 🙂

Now you can work on those 24 in Pythons 😉 😀

ps. you haven't been called as a witness to that steroid trail yet have you 😉

Cheers,
Aquaman

Oh yeah.......... cool gym.

That peice of equipment beside the weight rack......... is that for hyper-extensions?

Nice though.
I've been working out for no less than a decade. I find it unlikely I'm going to quit anytime soon 🙂

I guess you mean the leg-attachment; you can do extensions or leg curls on it.
what's in the cooler?
Air!
How important are the pullups?
I guess it depends on where you are strength wise. They are a staple of my lat workouts and I find them pretty useful...

Dumb question, but isn't it going to be too hot in the garage during the summer to lift, or cold in the winter? Or do you have a heated/cooled garage? Oh yeah, it looks great though!

It's punishing in the heat, but with the big fan it is bareable. The winter it won't get all that cold, but I may end up getting a space heater if I need to...

Hey, nice garage. 🙂 It has windows...with blinds....kewl. Never seen that before. Almost as if the builder intended the garage to be used for "living space." Nice equipment too. Quite a lot you got there for $1,500. Hot deals strikes again!!! 😀

wow! werent u the one who couldnt buy a sub cuz of your tight budget? how did u afford a $1500 gym?!

oh, nice gym though. how are ya gonna do decline bench though? those are necessary if u want a nice sculpted chest. i work out at my local NYSC. its expensive (60/month) but its really nice!! has everything i want (including eye candy 😉)

Priorities 🙂 We could always afford the sub, it's just that mrsskoorb thought it was a waste of money...

given my 11x10 space (if I want to stay out of the garage) leaning towards something that can handle either standard weights (which should take me a while to outgrow) or something that can handle a shorter 6' olympic bar. I've seen some benches that claim they can handle both 6 and 7 foot bars but they look kinda cheap.

Pullups are the best total back exercise in a way...however most need to start with lat pulldowns to get a decent workout.....if you have access to one of those machines that 'take away' your weight a little and let you do real pullups that is best.

Most 'cheap' looking benches can handle 300-500 lbs 🙂 A lot of benches are over kill for home.

nice job, looks like the bench can do incline and decline, thats awesome if it can. good job man
i wish i had the room to do that

When I wrestled and weight was you biggest concern we'd workout in the attic (living in S. Florida)...that was overkill but water weight would be totally purged usually.

In the old days gyms were dark, hot and stinky 🙂 he can pretend he is Arnold starting out 🙂

Yeah it can 🙂 I wanted to make sure that the gym was capable of anything a real gym has - or all of the good excercises anyway, otherwise I'd be pissed with it and I did not want to compromise. A cage, olympic bar, adjustable bench, and dumbells cover 90% of the excercises worth doing 😀
