ok so i saw her today in the libray, she's walking around looking for somebody (i guess?).

I looked at her in the eyes, but she just glanced at me, then she went out of library.

After 10 minutes, she came back again, did the same thing.

After another 10 minutes, same thing.

She i go talk to her?

I just don't want to make a fool out myself 😉
 
just speak to her. Just make casual convosation.

Ask what class she has next. Hows her studies are going, what shes been up to etc.

It will be quite quick to see if shes keen. If shes keen she'll be talking, if shes not then she'll be vague or will move on quite quickly.

Then after a few chats ask for her number. If you get it mission complete you got number so call her and ask her out somewhere. If you don't then hit on her mate😀
 
Look, this is ridiculous. YES you should talk to her. Also, you need to really not give a damn about the outcome, because face it: odds are nothing will come of it. Big deal.

Then IF something comes of it, recognize that it probably isn't going to be like a whirlwind romance and dancing the funky chicken on your 75th anniversary in the year 2077. Lighten up. Way up. Just meet this girl (if you can) and lay off of all the expections.

Expectations inexorably RUIN relationships. The relationship (if any) will stay fresh WAY longer if you don't build up expectations. At first, eye contact and a word is exhilirating right? Then go for that, you know? All too soon you will no longer be filled with delight just because she looks at you or whatever. So slow down and be content. Slow down. Don't build up expectation too quickly. Enjoy yourself.

Finally, only get serious with a girl if there is something there beyond romance. Romance is that feeling you get when you find out the other person likes you, which makes you like them even more and oh my goodness will it ever end??? Yes. It does.

After romance is love, commitment and labor. You want to be with someone with whom you solve problems well. You and your serious partner should be a team of sorts, that are not only in love, but also friends with each other, and work well together. Truly.

resist rising expectations and obligations
don't confuse romance with true love
fall in true love with your ideal partner
 
Saying hi is a good start, but make it clear that you singled her out to say hi to for a reason. Follow it up with, I seem to keep running into you in the hallways, or, I've noticed you around. Then go for the coffee suggestion.
 
Dude, don't be a Ponch or anything. Just talk to her. Go up and start a basic conversation; you're not asking her to marry you or anything (although you've probably thought about that). Please, just do it. It's much better knowing than wondering "what if?" It saves room on the forums.

Stop asking people on here how to deal with "problems" that should not be an issue. These skills should have been acquired by now. Just relax, and don't fret.

if she has a bf, that doesn't mean you cannot talk to her. it never hurts to try, you never know you might end up going out with her and other things might follow. Give it a try, don't just whine on AT. 😉
