OUCH!!! One more blow to the Bush Administration

With the troubles of Tom Delay, this could greatly hinder Bush. Delay was an icon and leader to the conservitive right house members. With Bush already in hot water right now with many American's, this could make him out to be more of an idiot then we already perceive him to be.

Why you ask??

Bush now will lose his strong conservative advocate to fight for him in the house. Bush who is already feeling some pressure from his handling of the Katrina disaster, gasoline prices, and the Iraqi War.

Bush is begining to look like more of an idiot from a few new facts coming out from Katrina. The Republicans continue to bash Fema leader Brown, of course they will pass the blame off, funny Brown was appointed by Bush. Inmates in a prison were left to die from rising waters. The rumors of gangs of rapists, looters, and hoodlums are now being found to be isolated incidences.

Bush yesterday urged American's to not drive so much to save on gas. There is no shortage of gas!! there is a growing surplus, I guess he thinks he can pull the wool over our eyes like he seems to do with everything else he screws up. The Saudi government promised to increase their production of crude oil if need be to compensate from any so called shortage we might have. The Administration still does nothing to investigate the gross oil company profits.

I could go on, but I just hope the crook Delay faces some serious charges. Bush only fools people into thinking he has intelligence bacause of the people he has surrounded himself with, well another one bites the dust b!tch.

Not really. While a lame duck Bush still has the power of enforcement as the executive and can selectivly enforce laws for his buddies benefit and reward work to his buddies for three more years in office. Worse is someone worse than Delay, if you can belive that, Blunt is new whip.

Just another political hack attack by a Democratic loser. The really significient part of this fiasco is that DeLay had to step down and Democrats wouldn't under the same circumstances. Just another Democratic dirty trick for American voters to bear in mind on that drive to the polling station.

Partisan politics aside. Delay is a ruthless SOB and he needs to go. In the long run the Republican Party would be better off without him, as he is one of their largest polarizing influences.

I do agree with you Condor that I do not believe for one minute that Democratic Supporters on this board would want their respective leaders to step down under the same circumstances.

Just remember that it is cyclical. They are all corrupt more or less regardless of the party in power...

I'm in full agreement with you and have posted pretty verbose dialogs in the past about how decent people simply can't be politicans. We need the ruthless lust for power at certain levels in our organization called government. Jimmy Carter is a fine person and a great example of that. Great human being, but not nearly ruthless enough for the first office.

Say what you will, I don't see you answering for the other topics I posted.

True enough, just imagine how Jesus Christ would screw up America if he were elected. Imagine a whole congress full of Him. It would be a freaking catastrophe. If you can't throw babies in meat grinders you have no business in politics. I say all this out of deep personal experience. I was born a god and was crushed. Never ever again will I let anything like that happen to me. Never will i ever be vulnerable again. I am now as hard as nails and invulnerable to pain. I feel nothing at all now, nothing, yes, nothing at all. As the walking dead I can tell you it's a state I highly recommend. I am tremendously and powerfully dead and as cold and ruthless as they come. I am the greatest thing invented since sliced bread. I think I'm going to call myself Satan.

Why did you choose a Hunter and not a Druid, sensei?

My fave bit of speculation, false attribution and diversion in this thread so far, from Condor, of course-

"The really significient part of this fiasco is that DeLay had to step down and Democrats wouldn't under the same circumstances."

Any House member under indictment would have to do the same. Well, unless Repub initiatives to change the rules had taken effect...

http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/articles/A54572-2004Nov16.html

Maybe they can find a way to let DeLay serve as majority leader from a prison cell, if it comes to that...

The knee-jerk defense of DeLay from the Right shows a depth of mental conditioning that makes Pavlov seem like an amateur...
