Anyone notice these so called chinese cars are nothing more then old cars that the chinese companies bought the old tooling from and made cars? that Landwind SUV looks like the old isuzu rodeo (slightly modified design but you can tell its the same thing) http://www.theautochannel.com/media/photos/isuzu/96_isuzu_rodeo.jpg http://www.theautochannel.com/media/pho...zu/1997/97_isuzu_rodeo_s_2&4wd_4dr.jpg

also they have one that looks just like the old Toyota 4runner.

according to this news link Isuzu is in a joint venture with them which i guess is why its nearly identical to the older rodeohttp://www.boston.com/news/world/europe...m_plays_down_possibly_suing_jiangling/

Crash tests are retarded.

Until you get into a crash.

I've owned several cars that have had just about the worst crash ratings a vehicle could get. I've even gotten into wrecks driving a couple of them and I didn't have major problems. Government crash tests do a half-assed job of simulating a couple possible crash scenarios out of a bajillion. They're worthless.
Besides, in a real crash, you're likely already braking (and so is the other guy if it's not an object)... do these tests actually do braking or go freestyle into the offset object at 40mph ?

There is absolutely ZERO reason for them to brake when they do crash tests. They are testing for worst case scenarios. Braking will only pollute the crash test results.

40mph isn't much though if you think about it. I'd say 45-50mph is the average speed that most motorists go on a normal road...all it takes is someone to fail to yield right-of-way when making a left turn.

Just make sure you're not like this guy...scroll down to the bottom of that page and you'll see what I mean.
