i was cutting off a zip-tie and i sliced my thumb open with my knife. a lot of blood and a few butterflies later, th bleeding has stopped but it hurts like fvck if i bump something. i'm considering myself lucky that the blade was nice and sharp, if it was dull it would have ripped the skin off... now i just have a nice, deep cut! fun times!

I've done that a few times with my thumbs. It's a pretty bad bleeder, even with a small, albeit deep, cut.

yeah it took a little while of putting pressure on it and holding it above my heart to get it to stop

You do know that sh!t burns right? I'd take stitches over that crap. Normal bandages FTW.

My thumb said otherwise when I cut it open on some sh!t Antec case. That crap hurt more than the actual wound.

Ouch, make sure you keep the wound clean. I cut open my index finger while sawing this piece of wood once, it was pretty nasty.

Seconded.

I sliced open my thumb when sliding out a tray from my tool chest and the rails were razor sharp. I cleaned out cut, sprayed some of the glue on, held it for a couple minutes and it healed in less than a week.
