Hello All,
I have been using Frontpage2002 for a while now. I would like to try something different that uses WYSIWYG.
Any recommendations?

Mozilla also has a pretty solid HTML editor. OpenOffice also has a pretty good one. Both of which are free.

All good suggestions. Dreamweaver may be the way to go. The only reason I continue to use FP is because of the way it manages a site. Since I have eight, it makes it easier. But yes, there are better things out there IMHO.

Dreamweaver is pretty good, I started using it after using Frontpage (XP?) from OfficeXP.
Im trying out 1stpage2000 at the moment, but this isnt a WYSIWYG type program.

Go for Dreamweaver.

dreamweaver is what all the designers I work with love, but it occasionally does annoying things to code that is edited outside of dreamweaver (like by me), such as moving form tags around. Also when you rely on wysiwyg your stuff is less likely to be cross-browser compatible. We've had weird things with css that required manual re-editing.

Thanks All,
Yes I looked at Dreamweaver, but I can't figure it out. I am so use to Frontpage.
So I guess I'll have to devote some time to Dreamweaver to get a better handle on it.

Right now I have a small problem with Frontpage2002.
Everytime I publish updates to my web, frontpage publishes the whole web site not just the changes.
In the publish options I have the check mark in the box that is for publish changes only.
Anyone knows what is going on here?
It use to just do changes not anymore.

The reason you cant figure out dreamweaver will be due to the fact it is an advanced wysiwyg editor.

Frontpage was designed with "average user" in mind, hence why it was included in the microsoft office package.

Dreamweaver on the other hand is an expensive peice of software for what it is, and i can say its worth every penny.

I love dreamweaver's split code view, its perfect for php linked templates and sites, makes my life a lot easier.

Dreamweaver is the de facto standard for web developers because of all the options it offers. It's relatively easy to get started with the program as far as a WYSIWYG editor. Why don't you try it out? Macromedia has a free trial available.

Thanks all,
I found my problem with Frontpage.
I'll download the trial of Dreamweaver and give it a try.
