Do you guys get a lot of personal requests for little projects (i.e. print this photo, help me find, etc.) at work? We've got 4 owners in my company and some days it feels like all i do is be their personal slave while my important work gets no attention. I need to tell these guys i can't keep doing their personal projects if they expect me to get any actual work done. I've even got the owners mother calling me up wanting her pictures printed. How the hell do i tell the owners mom i don't have time for her little projects?

/end rant

Tell her, "Fvck off bitch, I got real work to do. And tell your son to stop whining his sorry little tunes in my ear about finding some sex site on Google. SUCK IT!"

I just ask people for job numbers when they ask me for work like that.

How do you do that when it's one of the 3 VP's asking for personal stuff though?

I'm not sure how your office is set up, however, whenever someone asks for something like that.
I ask what specific job number they want me to charge for that kind of work.

Usually if there isn't a job number, they tend to rethink the task. I don't come off sounding
rude, I just simply ask something like, What job number should I charge for this work?

But your office might not be set up like this. if not then I would just talk to your direct boss.
And ask him what to do? Or if your direct boss does this to, ie request personal stuff done,
just talk to him about it. Tell him your situation, that why you don't mind helping out with someones
personal stuff now and then, that lately you have been getting overloaded with it, and cannot get
real work done.

I am not sure how old you are, however in a work environment you have to step up when somethings
wrong. If you have a problem you talk to your boss about it. Thats how things like that get solved.
