I really enjoy reading about cars in general, this forum does a great job of bringing in a variety of new topics. The only problem is that I have literally read through every post. I am well aware that there are specific car forums which I do frequent, but I can only take so much bragging and bitching about 1 car at a time.

Are there any other AT Garage type forums out there? Where the topics are free to roam wherever they please and the intelligence level is somewhat a resemblance of here? (I mean that in a good way).

I frequent driveaccord.net and gen7accord.net because well, i drive an accord :) i think forums that are supports for the car you have are great. You get to see the problems that may arise in your car and anticipate them and such. you might even learn about some new features, and you theres normally a "general discussion" board on those sites where they talk about other vehicles

The intelligence level may be a bit lower...but honestly any place that focuses just on cars is going to have quite a few bad apples....just think about who in general is most into cars.

I'd appreciate hearing about general automotive forums that aren't filled with knuckle dragging dumbasses. Sadly most of the places I come across (general automotive or specific) are filled with people who couldn't hold a coherent, productive discussion if their life depended on it.

indeed, however it seems that someone there will almost always know anything you could possibly want to know about any car. It can be a very useful place at times! But get them comparing two cars or discussing some new hot car and everything goes to hell.
