OTA TV Guide Setup

MDE

Lifer
I've replaced my old HTPC and want to transition away from Windows Media Center for OTA TV\PVR duties. I've got MediaPortal set up and working well, except for the guide. Using XmlTv, I've got a channel list on the EPG but no program data. I've followed MediaPortal's guide to set it up, but I still can't seem to get it. Is there an easier way to get guide data, or am I missing something?

I know I can fall back onto WMC for now, but I really want to move on and upgrade to Windows 10 in the process.

I'm doing something similar ATM. Have you posted on the MediaPortal forum? You will get more detailed responses there. I'm using WebEPG (in the US), and it was a pain to get it started (read the wiki page on the MP site) but it works well. If you want simple and very complete, spring for a SchedulesDirect subscription.

Nope. Portland, OR. But the process is the same no matter where you are in the US.
Hoping I could just use your file. :sneaky:

Looks like I've got it now. I just need to get a few obscure channels done and figure out why CBS listings are showing up as the local ABC station. Oh, and the time zone is an hour off.

I've got it working now. My actual ZIP code wouldn't work for whatever reason, but a nearby one did work.

SchedulesDirect sounds fantastic, but I'm a cheapskate.
