We learned a valuable lesson today boys and girls...

Don't do case modifications with the motherboard still in the case...😀

But I was just drilling 2 holes. I put an ATX board in an AT case and needed holes for the keyboard and mouse. Drillbit went right through the keyboard plug thingie...🙁 Fortunantly I was able to replace it with one off another dead motherboard...🙂 And the other board dying wasn't my fault...REALLY! 😀

Hmm i learned the lesson don't let your dad help with them!
Was trying to cut a blow hole for a 92mm fan, spent about 2hrs getting it perfectly round, then dad comes along....
"i've god a drill bit that'll do that" he says, finding the drill bit.
Then despite me saying it's ok dad i nearly have it, just a bit more sanding left to do, he proceeds to start to cut.
But literally 1" after he starts he verrs off corse and cuts a nice slit into the slide of the case making my perfect circle, perfect apart from a huge cut in 1 side!!!!:|

So now you guys if u eva see my loverly blue Juno P6 case, my pride and joy and wonder y the blow hole looks really strange and messed up you will know not to ask as it is a bit of a soar subject in my household!!!

another case-modding thing, make sure that you measure everything at least twice, so you only have to cut once!

i was putting a 92mm hole over my CPU and all was going well, had got the hole as good as i could without needing the file, had the holes for the screws the right size, screwed the fan to the inside of the case, went to put the case on, and found out that the edge of the fan was catching the metal bar going across the case on the inside by about 2-3mm, so i couldn't put the case back on!! 🙁

at the moment, i still have the fan screwed to the outside of the case, and it was a week ago that i did this!!

i should be getting a file or two soon from my dad, but will have to take the computer OUT OF THE CASE 😛 before i start making shards of metal fly around everywhere!

dont we all just love those case mods....been there ...done that..a power drill is a dangerous thing ...in the wrong hands....(mine)..lol

aiex: Don't worry about the extra cut.. just tell folks you thought you had your measurements wrong, started the cut, then figured you better double check! 😀 Hey, if it really bothers ya, you can probably patch it.
