son made it out with a busted lip
Youngest daughter got 13 stitches between eyelashes and eyebrow
Oldest daughter appears to have abdominal brusing
Wife got her shoulder hurt

All were wearing seatbelts

They were returning home (5 blocks away from home when hit) from doing laundry. Went thru light and got nailed under the light by a guy turning left hit almost head on
Other driver was cited as he ran the light.

The truck appears totaled, The good news is all are released from hospital now, but monday 3 dr's appointments just to make sure.

The dr's and nurses were wonderful.

I am very thankful that they were not hurt worse.

Bad news is we didnt have insurance either but thats the least of my worries right now.

I am just thankful that they are all alive and doing as good as can be expected

What a nightmare week

Glad to hear the families seemingly OK. Keep an eye on everyone for a few days to make sure there's no other effects.

I'm so glad everyone is okay. Stitches between eye lash and eye brow--that gave me the shivers, thinking about how close that is to the eye.

First let me say I am glad everyone is alright.

But on the no insurance thing, the others guys insurance should pay since it his fault. And if he doesn;t have insurance either, you can make him pay himself.

Thanks guys, I too was given a few shivers last night.

Peter no,he had no insurance either.

Aniva, The daughter with the stitches is doing good, embarrased though and doesnt want to go to school now.

Alofa still isnt moving much I am worried the most for her , she is usually very active.

Lilo is bouncing off the walls but wanted to sleep with mom and dad, lol all wanted to so I let them have the king sized bed (and mom) and slept on the couch.

Mom (named Aniva as well) has quite a few aches and pains but seems to be doing better.

I am just thankful its not worse.

I was at work, left my phone in the truck, When I got home Mom told me the kids were in the hospital. We rushed over there (mom wasnt allowed in ambulance due to both children being loaded into one and no room for mom and son.

I am off to see if I can take their mind off things today.

Peter ??? My name is Mark. And you can still get the money from him easily, even if you have to sue him.

Oh man, that's terrible. So sorry to hear about that. Scary stuff. :Q

I'm extremely glad that your family is ok. Definitely keep an eye on them for awhile, sometimes it takes awhile for hurts to surface.

Thoughts and prayers to you and your family, that they heal quick, and this gets resolved easily. And that you have a better, better week.

Thank you everyone, Sorry mark, my brain is old and I forget to engage it, I saw the cheetah and assumed it was peter ack

I talked to my boss and he is scheduling me so I can be home during the day to tend the children and not lose any work time.

I saw the truck, its worse than I had hoped, its fubar, so I will have to find other transportation soon.

Older daughter is moving around a bit today and says its hurting less than it was.

Younger daughter has a beaut of a shiner eye is almost closed today.

We are very lucky indeed!

Mark its hard to express the right things in type, but I respect you a lot, and am sorry i have confused you and peter so often, I have terrible eyesight and I tend to skip over things I think I know like the cheetah. I promise I will fix that.

So glad to hear that. :)

Sorry about the truck :(, but trucks can be replaced.

I am not worried about the truck at all,I am rather thankful that they were in it rather than the wifes car. I may look into a scooter for getting back and forth to work anyway.

So many things could have been far worse, I am happy they are all alive well and didn't lose an eye or, arms legs, or have internal bleeding, its hard to look at them today without realizing how close i came to losing them.

It was a wake up call, one I will heed! It really made me realize whats important to me.

Thank you all for the support, It is much appreciated.

Thanks, Mike, for keeping us posted.

This is just terrible - so close.

I am very grateful that the harm and hurt were limited, but know it hurts - inside and outside.
Hang in there Mike, you know that a lot of team mates pray for your family and for you.

If there is anything I can do for you, please let me know by posting or - better - by PM.

Mike,
I am sorry to hear of the accident, but glad the family is on the mend. Too bad cars can't mend themselves.

Best wishes to your wife and kids, keep us posted on their progress.

The truck has been given away after a 262.65 tow bill. The tire on the drivers side is pinned and pushed into the cab (cant tell this from pics) as well as snapped front end bars. The car that hit them is a white honda seen in this pic my truck 1 at top it took damage to the area in front of the doors and its hood and engine compartment is almost as high as the top of the car. I am very thankful that the truck was the only loss.

Well, Mike - you got through this reasonably well. I am grateful for that - and especially for the limited hurt your wife and daughters sustained.
I will continue to pray for you, your family and for a good solution of all the problems this accident has caused.

Take care, my friend, you are important for us! :sun:
