Send some my way, we have only had about 4" of snow all winter. I live in Iowa and when I look outside all I see is partly green grass. Not that I havent had 3 weeks off of school in the past month and a half, but a snow related cancelation would be nice.

Man, if we got 3' of snow here, I wouldn't think twice about selling my snowmobile. But since we havn't gotten crap for snow the last 4 years. I am not having that much of an issue selling my snowmobile. 🙁 Oh well. I guess we have to do what we have to do.

I love winter.

Wolfie
Woah, you're selling the snowmobile?🙁

:Q:Q Does that include the old SnowCat you were restoring? :Q:Q[/quote]

Not the old one. That one is sitting in my basement in parts. Not having the time or the money right now to continue fixing it. I will down the road tho.

The 98 ZR500 that I normaly ride is the one that is up on the selling block. I hate to do it, but with my house buying and the kid on the way, I don't really have much of a choice in the matter. I can always get one later down the road when things start to settle down a little.

If you come & get it you can have mine. There's about 2 feet of snow on the ground here now. We've had 2 or 3 storms where we got 12"-18" of snow at once & several more of 5"-8". But the ground never got a chance to freeze 'cause it didn't get really cold till there was a good amount of snow on the ground.

Only about 2 more months to go 😛🙂

We are looking at getting 2 feet of snow :Q

I can't wait until it snows..it means that it will be WARMER (yes when it snows it warms up 😀 ) than it has been!

yesterday it was 0 Degrees farenheit not counting the wind chill...w/ 35-40 MPH the wind chill must have been - 30 F

i almost got frosbite on my hands @ work :Q 🙁

It was supposed to warm to the 40's by 3:00pm today...it's still raining and 31 degrees here! 🙁

The trees are starting to sag to the ground...and I've heard several loud pops from my house (hopefully, ice falling down the side). The world looks like glass outside right now! :Q

It is supposed to warm up tonight...so we'll see what tomorrow morning brings! 🙂

Here is western Michigan we get a lot of snow off of lake Michigan. It was between -5 and 20 all this week and we got a couple feet of snow. It really is a gorgeous site to see. The only day that bothered me was Thursday and that wasn't because of the high of 4 degrees but because of very strong wind. I'm not sure of the wind chill but it was probably around -15.

Here in mid-southern-Indiana (Linton), we have a nice slick covering of maybe 0.5 to 0.75 inches of sleet / frozen rain / whatever... Most local churches cancelled services, and I figure that most schools have at least scheduled a delay (didn't watch TV to find out). Oh, and that's what sucks about being homeschooled... I'll have school tomorrow anyway. 🙁 😉

What can I say. The people in Columbus, OH. are wimps. We have maybe 4 or 5" of snow, and they're all acting like it's the blizzard of the century or something. Cancelled a bunch of schools, put out a level 2 snow emergency.

Sheesh.

I don't know how they would react to all the snow Spachead's area has gotten. :Q

Heck, I used to drive around Kansas City (far hillier) on bald tires in more snow. The funny thing is, I think 90% of the people here seem to have SUVs of some sort and they still can't handle a little snow. Wimps, I tell ya, WIMPS.

Oh....I have to ask.........can you send a 'CAN' of warm up here?

My reply:

Let me see if I can spare any?

Hmm, my outside thermometer says 65.1 F.

No, I don't think I can spare any WARM. If I did I would have to put on a long sleeve shirt. 😛 😀

lol

Hmm it was 76 F here today....nice and warm 😉

I don't suppose me telling you about riding my motorcycle around yesterday wearing just a long sleeve shirt (and pants 🙂 ) would make you feel warmer?

It was in the 70's and is still 55F right now at almost 3pm. Texas weather can be so bizarre.

No snow here about 50 miles Northeast of Atlanta, everything is frozen solid in 1/4 inch of Ice:

1-26-2004 Iced in Northeast Georgia

If we get more moisture it will add more Ice as we are at 26 degrees now.

We're right on the edge of a storm coming up from the Gulf.

Edit: I'll have to add the Satellite Dish pic, I keep having to pour Hot water on it to get signal.

I've been freezing my juevos off for a month! I have 2-3 feet of snow all around me! I don't want to hear any whining from those that might get a little chilly or have a little ice. 😛

There has got to be something wrong with you, Rich 😛

Scraping 1/2" of ice off with a CD case and a DVD case
Hehe, same ice scraper I've used. Well, not the DVD case, but a CD case and a CASSETTE case. 🙂

But 1/2" of ice would be a big pain. :Q

Well, work called and they closed down (yippee! 😀), along with all the schools. Heh, and we got a little freezing rain, just a bit, enough to put a cap on the snow, but not enough to cause any major traffic problems.

all for 5" of snow and a little ice.

WIMPS!

We only got a few inches, but it is being topped off with about 1/2" of ice.
Will be fun getting to work tomorrow.

Of course there is -- I'm whacked! :Q We all know it, I've just come to accept it!😀

Looks like someone's been helping to wish the "white stuff" this way after all as I just checked the news and we're now under a Winter Weather Warning through tomorrow night, expecting at least 5 to 10 inches of it. 🙂

NWM,
I swear, it takes a certin someone to love this stuff. Living in Minnesota all my life, I just love the stuff. Not so much because I own a snowmobile (for the time being) but because where else can you have 100F+ in the summer and -40F and colder during the winter. The variety of weather that we experiance here is awsome. I always give people a hard time when the whine about having this snow. "Why do we have to have this snow? Why can't it go somewhere else?" I always tell them that they can always move. They don't like that too much. 😀

Well it looks like we made it thru the worst of it now. It wasn't as bad as i thought it would be, as the ice didn't really stick to the trees or power lines.
But i did take about 30-45 minutes to unthaw the car this morning. Then i had to wait for the township trucks to spread cinders on the road before i dared venture out.

Got about 3" of snow this afternoon & are expecting another 1-3 tonight. Not too bad. 🙂

Near Allentown, PA (town I'm nearest is actually Kempton, but no one has ever heard of it), we've got plenty of snow and ice. A few boroughs and townships are in snow emergency even. Weather Channel said yesterday morning, 4-7 inches of snow. Then they downgraded it to 1-3 inches. Well there's about 5 inches on the ground, with 4-6 forecasted.
I couldn't make it in to work tonight (midnight to 9am shift). Darn. 😀
