You know I've been here for a while now and this place is ADDICTING... you just sit and peruse waitin for somethin to pop up.I've also noticed its pretty serious around here. lets lighten up the mood. everyone tell why they think this place is so addicting. I think i'm just a gadget guy who likes to oogle at all the stuff he can't afford. Next 🙂

It's cause collectively, thousands of users can do the research we all wish we could do but don't have the time or patience to do alone, thus we get the best bang for our buck.

That sounds like it came right out of my term paper...:disgust:

I feel like an old man around here compared to you MikroMak. I've been going strong since 1999 but my posts are so low due to the fact that I had AOL, which AT banned a while back. Earthlink DSL has got me posting again.

Oh I almost forget... I wouldn't have a Memorex 48X CDrom, HP CDWriter 9510i, HP Deskjet 842C, Memorex 6148 scanner, ATI Radeon VIVO, or Yamaha YST MS50 speakers without ANANDTECH! Live on brother!

I first noticed this place a few weeks back and I am addicted.
I think if I were Bill Gates, I would still look at this forum.
 
this place has gotten me a good number of great deals on things i could otherwise not afford, such as the nikon coolpix i'm ordering on friday, and i thank it for that, but alas it has also drained my CC limit to next to nothing
 
There'll probably be an article in the Wall Street Journal about how the AT Hot Deals forum singlehandedly ended any signs of a recession 😉

Looks like everyone here is doing their part and spending money 🙂
I think it just takes missing 1 hot deal that you really wanted to get in on that makes you come back habitually.

i think were all waiting for another dell 'glitch'!!!

i mean $5 minidisc players from best buys, 10$ nomads from bluelight, heck even 1 cent attaches from staples...thats why we stay.
 
it is safe to say I have spent easily 10-20 grand on this place in the past few years(I was a lurker for many years beofre i joined)

It is a great fantasy made up of price matches that are not honored, coupons that are immediately canceled, and rebates limited to the first two people through the door, all of which provides lots of free advertising to retail stores that have no intention of honoring their promises.
