Pardon my bitchin* here, but why don't people do a simple search before posting a topic that has been hashed to death a million times already? I'm so freakin' sick of reading the same g*d damn titles..."what's the best sound card?".."what's the best hard drive?"..."what should i use to lube up my XJ7 schlong?" Do a freakin' search people! Sorry, just having a sh!tty day and had to vent somewhere.

If you would have searched the forums, you'd have found posts like this asking people to search before they post. Oops. :)

Damn it suicidal, you beat me to it :)

Some people post things because things change often. If I asked what the best MB to buy would be, that could change every week.

I agree there are some things that should be searched, and I do a damn bit of that on most boards simply because I never even register unless I can't find what I'm looking for. And you have to give some people the benefit of the doubt. search is a tiny little word on a huge page, sometimes it's easie to just post a new topic. Not everyone is familiar with UBB/FT/etc and may not know such things exist.

If everyone used search...we would eventually have nothing to talk about since every question would be answered....

This topic has been mentioned many times before.

Use your SEARCH function next time.

Forums are here to help out Members with there questions not all Members spend time here everyday,& if you get the same question over & over again you don`t have to answer it.One last thing I rather have the same question keep being posted then someone keep moaning(no offense StrangeRanger).

I kind of agree. It is good to search for most things but all those new posts keeps the forum alive.

I am not sure why people do not use the search button Rumpranger but it would sure make this BBS boring if no one posted any threads

1) Maybe cuz they don't think to use the search.

2) Or maybe cuz they aren't comfortable or knowledgeable enough with the use of the search engine.

3) Or maybe cuz they get to rack up their number of posts by asking questions others have already asked. How many posts do ya get doing searches, huh?

4) Or maybe cuz they just wanna torque you off.

5) Or maybe you just oughta not read them and skim over them real fast if you are gonna get your undies all in a bundle, ya think!

You would probably be quite pleasently surprized by the many people who do you use search and do so quite effectively. And there are thousands who do not post anything and garner much information just by visiting and searching and you would know nothing about it,since they don't post.
But air your complaint, because they see it too and consider the source.Thats why they don't post. It's beneath them to join in the drivle as I do.;)

Also remember, the Search feature ain't perfect, so previously discussed topics can be missed that way as well.

Basically, if you don't like a thread, or have seen something similar before, then don't read it. Pretty simple, no?

Well should I look up P3... PIII... Coppermine, Pentium, or a combination of the above... and see if someone else has had a problem with their GF2, Geforce2, or NV15???? With their ABit board, or is it more specific to the BX chipset, or maybe all Intel motherboards.... Hmm frig it I'll just post my problem...

Sounds about right...

I BET YOU don't search EVERY time before you post! Some don't have the time to spend searching hours IMHO.
