OT - Website critique

I'm doing a new skin for an online shop for a local computer shop and I was looking for some tips on how to improve the design.

The language of the website is portuguese but I think that everyone will get the picture...

Here's the link!

Thanks 😉

Looks pretty good but loads slower then molasses, is it loaded on a production server? If so tighten up the code...

Loads quickly here too. I especially like the top menu's design and the clean layout of the side menu.

Good layout, loaded fast 🙂

Only problem is no one will be able to read anything, it's all in a weird language 😕

😉

Loading fast here... Looks good...

But this language, more weird than german.. But french is worse 😛

Oh, and this is strange:
"Base 0 ?
Actual 16 ?"

Does it mean it costed 0, and now it's for 16 Euro ?? 😀

Thanks for the input everybody, here's a short Beginners Portuguese 101, from top left to bottom right:

EDIT
Promoções = Promotions
Leilões = Auctions (Base = base price, Actual = Actual Bid price)
Novidades = What's New
Destaques = Sort of Selected Products, these can be promotions, best sellers, etc. soon to be replaced with Product of the Day 😉
Notícias = News
/EDIT

Although it is currently on a production server, I'm aiming for a quick loading site without too many scripts (I usually surf the web using Mozilla with scripts off), and the site engine that these guys bought is full of little javascript scripts that can be replaced with php.

All I need to do now to finalize this skin is complete the footer of the page.

Very nice. I may do a re-write of my website, do you do American sites?

sure David,

I can give a couple of website skins fully sliced in photoshop so all you need to do is the integration on your website...

Looks fine to me. Despite being pretty much an image-based layout, it still loads nicely on a 56K dialup connection, and I see that you remembered to use ALT tags in the important images used for navigation. 🙂
