so tell me those of you with high speed, do the forums (non subscription) still seem slower than before that so called upgrade?

right now on my 56k modem, things are almost back to normal.. sometimes I encounter a problem where a page doesn't load at all, but when they do, it's probably as quick as before (I don't really know, cause I load many pages before I read them, to use my bandwidth better).

Yes before the " upgrade " it was faster, but before Fusetalk3 it was much faster,i prefer Fusetalk 2.

Yeah, it's a lot faster than the now crippled speed regular
forums...Am I supposed to jump up and down about that? "Hey look
guys...I crippled the speed of the regular forums, but for
30 bucks you can have really fast downloads again!" Is that supposed
to make me happy or something?

The thing about this is: The people who are providing the CONTENT
on these boards also have to pay to use them. Make the lurkers pay
more for fast access, OK. But what about the people who actually
contribute something (or a lot in some cases) useful? They are the
ones who actually make these boards worth reading and THEY have
to pay to access them at a reasonable speed? That kinda sucks IMHO.

Hey, that's capitalism. But don't insult my intelligence by
telling me how cool it is that I can pay $30 so that my access
speeds will be back to where they used to be before all these
"improvements" in the forums...

Speed is important (and I agree, it is much faster now), but the 1000 PM limit much easier on the export button. ;)
