Yeah, you're right, it is well worth the $30 price tag. But I thought your post was flamebait for a second, don't even start sentences like that 🙂 You had me scared, I thought the average intelligence on the boards was suddenly going to go down.

hehe.. well if the forums again become as reliable as they were 2 weeks ago, there would be no reason for me to go subscribing.. right now sometimes I open a new thread in a different window, and get to it later, only to find it didn't load! I don't know why this happens (might be a problem on my end), but it does! it didn't happen before the server upgrade either..

but the real reason I probably won't subscribe, is cause I'm on a 56k modem!

I mean, pages ALREADY load fast (when the forums aren't slow, like they were October 31st). even when u cable modem guys are complaining, I don't feel a difference.. 🙂 I'm satisfied, are u?

I just love it. So much faster. Although I don't know why I subscribed, been here since pre-Fusetalk and have only 250 some odd posts under my belt....

The forums were perfectly fine until 2 weeks ago when a supposed "upgrade" happened. Ever since, the forums slowed down considerably. It's a conspiracy I tell you.

Thats why I went into this thread, I was waiting for the conspiracy theory to kick in. But I will admit the forums have been slow as molases these past few days.

I apologize if I haven't been here as long as you and are thus inferior, but if I want to read about General Hardware issues, I go to the General Hardware Forum; when I want to read anything Off-Topic, or forum issues. There's at least one thread in the former, and one in the latter. This is redundant and off-topic.

Edit: 378 posts in the Off-Topic forum regarding the Subscriptions, nearly all with more information than your P4 remark. Amazing!

It's worth noting that not only is that forum accouncement stuck to the top of all the forums, but Anand is, like you said, the boss.

It's also locked and thus not open for replies. Oddly enough, there's a "Subscription Suggestions" post by 'the boss' himself in forum issues that, even weirder, isn't locked!

That offers nothing to any discussion about whether or not this is the right place for a member to put a thread about subscriptions. But of course I wouldn't.

This thread should be locked because it has nothing to do with general hardware, simple as that.
It's kinda sad it still isn't. Maybe it will be moved to the top like some kind of THREAD-BANNER:disgust:
