Hey guys, I have to write 4-5 papers on "interesting" topics in either recursion or prime numbers for a University math course. They are only 2 pages long and each extra one we do is worth bonus marks so I'm going to do a few of them. Anybody have any ideas for topics? They should be specific ideas or problems, sort of like the Tower of Hanoi or how Fibonnacci series occur in breeding rabbits, etc.

Thanks for all your help as usual.

P.S. I'm approaching 2500WU's and 99%, should come about the same time in another week or two. :D

Fibonnacci series occur in breeding rabbits

I wrote an English paper in college on how the fibonnacci series/ratios were found in classical music structures. :)

Dunno if this qaulifies... but GIMPS (especially for people interested in DC :))

BTW, large primes are typically used in cryptographic algorithms... and the NSA is the place for that :)

P.S. Good luck on the recursion or prime number topics, sorry I cannot contribute much....
