Great stuff! Thanks! Nice pond, stream and waterfall!

But you're going to have to feed them trout a bit more to strike
fear into the hearts of any potential trout smackee! ;)

The really odd thing is the next time I'm out of town - it will be on the "ms Veendam" - A DUTCH CRUISE SHIP!!!! :Q

Strange, isn't it?

[edit] Even stranger is... Russ is staying at my house! :Q :Q :Q

"fishing... AND hunting" - stay away from my RABBITS!

These are stupid WASHINGTON rabbits.... just walk up to them and offer them some social program... they'll roll right over for you.

Rabbit stew, rabbit sandwiches, rabbit with eggs - yummy!

Very nice.
Looks like quite the project, but turned out great looking.
Good thing my wife is in the other room as I'm looking at this, cause if she saw it I would be building one next year
Need to see pictures as it matures, I'm impressed :)

Excellent site DanC, the pond looks great, I love the waterfall. Is it difficult to maintain?

"Biological Filtration" isn't a link as it should be.

<< Trout are REALLY tough to take pictures of with a digital camera. More pics will follow when we can get the good 35mm camera out and do it right.

Sorry guys... after all the other stuff - "Biological filtration" is still in the works.
Thank you for your kind comments. I'll try to make it more informative as we go along - with specs (of course)

:)

Dennil -
quite the contrary... when you throw food to them, it definitely reminds me of the image of pirhana...

Surface of the water just boils with action... sometimes they leap fully out of the water. :)

I have made a few rainbow trouts leap out of the water when I was prospecting for uranium near Hudson's Bay and James Bay in the late 70s. Off course, these were hooked to my favourite Mepps. The outfitter's dogs loved those treats. ;)

(I rarely eat fish and I preferred corregone (white fish) to trout)

Very nice looking. Will you have to drain the water in the winter to prevent freezing or is that not a problem in your part of Washington?
