OT: Need some help in Jedi Knight 2: Jedi Outcast. More help needed!

Hi everyone,

I just got JK2:JO in the mail today. I've been playing the demo for a while and was really excited about it. I must say I'm dissapointed you don't get to use the lightsaber right away. But I've got a bigger problem. I'm in what I think is the 2nd level, but it's a continuation of the first base (everyone still with me?). I've gotten past the freeze chamber and am at the poison pool and the cargo bay right by it. My problem is that I don't know where to go now. I've been all the way back to the beginning of the level, and all the other doors are locked (so I'm pretty sure I'm in the right place) and all the buttons are pressed. I just don't know what to do. I've been running around for a while shooting things, but that doesn't help either. I've seen a few doors I think should open, but they don't. There's nowhere new to go, so basically I'm plain stuck. Can someone help me out with some instructions here, please?

Edit: New thing I need help with: Ok, I'm now past the Jedi training and am looking for that trash collector guy. I'm just at the part where you jump on the trash collection thing and it takes you a little ways. Then it goes through a force field and you get dropped off it. Kyle says something like, "I wonder if I could reroute those things?" But, the area you get dropped into is very small, and there's only one door, which is locked. What do I do? And also, what force powers should I have? At the Jedi place I had to cheat a bit because I couldn't figure out how to pass the force speed test. So that's the last power I got. Will I be able to pick up the other ones somewhere else or do I have to go back and redo the academy?

I believe you need to work your way up onto the catwalk via the freezer thingy, and you'll see some guys in a room on the side of the pool room. Take them out, and work your way around the catwalk until you can see a crate-type thing that you can shoot... or maybe it's a control panel... anyway, there's something in that room you need to shoot to open the next door.

go on the upper level, break the glass in the control room, shoot the explosive barrel to open the door

Yup; these guys have it right. And it's not a poison pool. That's coolant that's so cold that it does damage.

When you get near those fields you should see switches out of reach. Simply force push and you're own your way.
