OT - Keep Wineryguy in your thoughts today

Hello all. I just wanted to wish Winerguy (my Dad) good luck on Thursday April 10th. He was diagnosed with colon cancer and will have a very large piece of his colon removed. The Doctors feel that there is a 95%+ chance that this will be cured with the surgery so we are very hopefull. So keep him in your thoughts today!

My thoughts and prayers go with him & you today.

He will look bad right after the surgery today, but will rapidly improve.

From now on make sure that his annual check-up includes an ultrasound of his liver!
My father had the same surgery and had 5 years of great check-ups, they just didn't look to see if it had spread.
If caught early in the liver - they can freeze and kill the cancer!

Once again - my prayers are with both of you.

Thanks everyone. The surgery went well. He is doing well in his room but is still groggy from the medication. He will be a little out of it for a couple of days. Right now the concern is for leaking fluid and infection. He is slated to be there for about a week. So far so good! Thanks again everyone!
