Man I wish I had a digital camera...I would take a pic of this tree in our backyard. It's really really tall...gotta be as tall as your tree, and probably taller. There's an even taller tree in the woods, but it'd be hard to find the height because of all the other trees around it.

Measureing it is easy. At least an extimate is. You do need a camera though.

So is this what this forum has come down to....guys comparing the wood in their yards? :Q 😉

Nice tree by the way....

I have to agree with Wolfie, it def. looks like a White Poplar. Seems to throw a lot of shade on your house which is nice. As has been mentioned though, they are very prone to wind damage. They grow so fast that they have a fairly limited root system and a lot of foliage to catch the wind. Make sure your homeowners policy has you well covered is case it comes down. 🙂

I'll post a pic of the two pine trees in front of my house, not to certain as to height but I am guessing 80-100' on the taller one, it is visible from just about anywhere in town. :Q

We had a tree person over today and she estimated that the tree is 60-70 feet tall. However, we do have two trees right next to each other off in the woods that are around 90 feet tall. 🙂

I do have a question about your before and after pics. Considering the house on the left side of your "before" pic seems to be the same house that's on the right side of the "after" pic, your OCed tree doesn't seem to be in the "before" pic. 😕
