This would be better off in the off topic forum, I can say before it does get out of hand, that being an anadtech member has been just fine for me.

I'm not a subscribed member and won't be anytime soon. As much as I dislike the PM limitations, I'm not about to release the little I have to get that benefit. I just delete the PMs as they approach that number. And really, there's nothing to make me have that much at this time.

You only have 190 posts...do you really have more PMs than posts?

I think that a 'paid Anandtech member' is someone who gets paid for browsing the forums... A subscriber is a person who pays for faster access and extra features.

I get paid to go to work and all I do is browse AT. This, by your explanation, makes me a paid AnandTech member.;)

Lol, I prefer to think of it as being paid to keep one's fingers on the pulse of the high tech community:)

I'm not a paid subscriber and don't know if I ever will be. Plus the 100 PM limit is plenty enough.

I was [a subscriber] when they throttled the bandwidth to unbearable speeds... not now, not ever again as long as things stay the way they are.

I'm a subscriber. I too couldn't bare the turtle speeds from a few months back. That, and I have close to 500 PMs (I'm sure people have more than me).

I do want to know where the chatroom they were talking about is ;)...
