I have 1 machine that runs about 60 degrees in the summer but it has never seemed to hurt anything.

I've got a dual system that one processor stays around 59 to 60 through the summer. 1.4 GHz TBird...no troubles at all.

The temprature is measured from different places in different mobos. For example in my Epox it measures the temrature from inside the processor and thats why its giving quite high tempratures (64C max.). Just for your notice.

My current CPU with the original heatsink and fan was running around 80C :Q:Q

There was no option but to get some serious cooling, and now it's only around 50-60C.. runs fine! :)

Like the others said, I don't think I'd be too worried about anything up till about 60C.

I'm used to having a high temp of 45C! I have only had this XP for a short time, the Tbird I ran only reached 50C a couple times and my overclocked duron hasn't broken 45 yet.
