I'm sure there is one or two people checking the forums before they go out and stand in the cold for a few hours in hopes of a good deal or two. Good luck!

I'm on the West Coast so I still have a few more hours to ponder whether or not to go fight the crazies for that Toshiba lappy :p Good luck to all who go out

I just want to know if the staples deals are gonna be online or not...they show the descriptions of the deals next to the items, but the prices don't reflect...yet

Any idea how much that Toshiba is before rebates? I can't figure out how much cash has to be fronted for that one.

the toshiba is 899.99 before rebate, which, to me, makes it not worth it, since you can get Dell 1100s for 550 bucks sometimes, and you DON'T have to wait forever to get your $400 bucks of rebates OR wait in line OR pay sales tax in most cases.:)

I'm not doing black friday this year. I went to Best Buy last year and got what I wanted. This year seems very ho-hum low key sales. I'm going to relax and sleep in. I was contemplating if I wanted to participate this year since it's only once a year, but retailers have failed to persuade me to go stand in line in the blistering cold in the west coast (well..can't compare to the east coast weather). For those of you all that are going, have fun, keep warm, and do whatever the fvck you can to secure your products.

P.S. For those of you who bought ahead of time at Best Buy, I would be laughing my ass off at you guys right now considering that some if not all Best Buys will not be pricematching or return/buyback servicing you guys. I can see it now. All they are going to do is to tell you to come back at noon in you want to return or pricematch anything. You don't like it? Tough sh!t. Cause all the employees are doing is following corporate's orders. It really doesn't matter how much you bitch and moan. Chances are, the damn customer service station won't even be open. I think Best Buy made a smart move because it's the people who stand in line first that deserve all the products first. I understand that it's all a game and some people want the upper hand. But now the rules have changed. Good luck to all of you guys and be safe.

HAHA, I wasn't planning to, but damn...with the digital camera I pick up today, I plan to take pics of people grabbing stuff. I go out not for the deals, but to see a ton of people in the holiday spirit! Kinda corny, huh? BTW, west coast here too!

I'm in San Jose, CA. I must say that the only decent selection of deals is Officemax in my opinion.

That Lite-On DVD-R/DVD+R burner looks pretty good at Best Buy too....but I'm waiting for 8X burners to come down. My laptop DVD burner will suffice for now.

I'm with you guys. BF was a bust this year. Nothing really caught my eye.

I did buy the Kawasaki portable dvd player from Target over a week ago and I'll need to get a price adjustment but I can do that on Saturday. :)

I'm getting ready to leave here. 4:00 and staples opens at 6:00, 1 hour drive to get there, should be interesting.

I hope you get what you're after amdskip. I'd be pissed if I had to drive 1 hour each way and came home empty handed.

By the time you get there, I predict that there will be at least 15 people if not more by the time you get there. You should have left at 3am, get there by 4, and then wait in line to secure your spot.

19" Envision for $399 after IR/MIR

Costco has been handing out coupons that you'll need to get this price.

Yeah... Nothing in the ad itself was worth an hour's drive...

($169.82 - $20 coupon) * 1.0725 tax = $160.68 - $55 rebate - $15 rebate - $50 rebate = $40.68 for 80gig 8mb 7200, 100 jewel cases, and 4 port wireless router...not bad
