**OT** gmail invites

1000MB free space, emails from one person are automatically linked into "conversations," it's run by Google. Good stuff overall. I have 10 or so invites to purge myself of if anyone wants one.

For a different perspective, I myself don't much like it. I'll never use 2mb of space let alone 1000, conversations might be more useful to others but not me, and google isn't the end all search engine IMHO. Plus I got more spam from gmail than the dozen hotmail accounts I've made in the past 5 years. I'm not sure it's a good switch for most people. I don't much like hotmail but I find it more useful right now than gmail. Just my opinion.

Gmail is really cool and I enjoy using it a lot! 😀

Got some invites here as well, pm me if you want! 😉

I really don't see the facination....or the usefulness of it. If someone wishes to try and enlighten me ....I will listen. But,............................just remember..........................I'm old, feeble, and sienile 😉

What do you get if you use up all of your invites?

If you don't get anything, then I don't see the purpose of having a set number of invites.😕

I must agree with WetSocks ... I have an e-mail account and have my mail processor pick up the mail and when I go to look at my computer there is my e-mail .... I do NOT have to log onto a WEB site to get my mail ... I do NOT have to look at BullSh** pop ups ...

What is so darn good about Qmail ....

To some of the negative answers...

-GMail does support pop, so you can set it up in your outlook.
-Having you mail on the web is just so much easier, say your out of town, your pc is at home or whatever and you wanna look at you mail from a friend's pc...
-GMail has NO popups!!!
-You get spam from the spam people, not from GMail!
-Well it's as simple as, you get invites and you invite people to join. What you get in return is the satisfaction of a friend using a cool webmail service where's no crap popups, a LOT of space for mail and it's free!

lol Bring on the bad gmail vibe! 😀

I enjoy my Gmaill. Mostly for the few number of keystrokes to get to my inbox + plus the barebones low bandwidth layout of google pages. As far as I have observed Gmail is at least as good as any other webmail service.

The invites in my opinion are just a gimmick to get people interested, and I have to say it worked for me.

For the skeptics: google search "Gmail is too creepy". It once brought fourth the page www.gmailistoocreepy.com but now it brings a whole swath of sites who voice their protest of gmail and other google services.

Whatever. Gmail works for me. I like it a lot.
