Dasm and )&)(*&^%%$#%^$@#!!!:| Tried rebooting my main comp and all I got was the FF no post code ( it stayed FF, never went through the startup sequence). Looks like an RMA for me. I just got my slow rig upgraded to a Duron 1Ghz too!! Arrrggghhh! Just when we needed the wu's too :( Sorry TeAm :( Don't know how long it will take. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

That is what you get for rebooting :p

I have an unused Tyan Tiger that I will sell ya for $130 since ConfusedBW will not be needing it :p

If it just lights up with FF and does not get to FF after running through a series of other codes .... :(

I've seen too many of these lately.

Thanks guys, been there, tried that, all a no go. I've got a feeling the bios chip is the culprit, it almost booted up enough to get into the bios setup, but froze at that crucial second, hasn't even tried to boot since...:( I've already sent in an RMA request, looks like my main cruncher will be down for..1-2 weeks :( Maybe it was that last bios update...

Good news is that I've up-graded my wife's comp with the new Duron 1 ghz, moved the 750 to the slowwww comp so it's running much much faster than that ol' Pll266 :) Man was it ever tough getting that chip into that socket 370 :Q

j/k :D I had a old (new) kt133 sitting here waiting to be used.:)

LOL @ RustyNale :)

I've tried to keep a few important components laying around just for emergency purposes but I never stick to the plan. I always get whatever is needed and build another rig. I've never used drugs but I guess this must be pretty close. :D

If you're referring to "Rusty's new nale" then that FF code on the mobo is normal and means control is being turned over to the OS. Are you getting 1 beep to show that it POSTed OK? What trouble-shooting have you done so far?

Maggotry, from what I've heard, if you get a FF right from the git go, it's dead, Jim. It should go through the post codes then end up with an FF to show it's successfully posted. As for sound- I'm not getting any beeps at all :( Course it helps if there's a speaker there to beep--it was removed to make room for the 92mm front intake fan :) Actually, I did put the speaker back in to hear what codes it was giving me so I could troubleshoot it, but it's not making any beeps at all. That and the FF and no other post codes leads me to believe that either the board or the bios chip have "bit the big one" :) I tried un-plugging the power cord, removing the battery, setting the bios jumper to reset, letting it sit that way for 1 hour, hit the power switch a couple of times to make sure all the power was drained off, still no go. Damn thing's been rock solid since November till one of my crucial ram sticks went belly up on me 2 weeks ago, now problems. I got another stick to replace it with, and gee, now it won't boot back up. Teach me to turn it off when it's running..Hmmm, I haven't tried removing the other stick and just putting the new one in. Could I be so lucky??? Be back in a few...

*edit* Nope, no go. Checked the ps with a meter while I was at it, voltages with in spec. Sigh...

LOL. I did that too on an Enlight case I modded for my sister. Yeah, your mobo sounds dead. :(

Did you pull an IndyJaws and forget to install the memory? ;)

Sorry to hear about that. Hope you can get it replaced soon.
