I am a complet newbie to vid cards, but i think that the viper770 that i have is making my main pc lock up all the time, and that affects my poor eccp output. 🙁

Is there really any difference?

Well, the APPOLO one has dual monitor support. The Law of Conservation of Profits 😀 tells me that the extra cost of the dual monitor support would result in lower quality for the rest of the board. Not necessarily 100% accurate since I've never heard of an APPOLO video card, but you asked for opinions, so I gave one... 😉

win2k newest drivers that i have found. newest bios for my mobo. I have taken out everything that i can, and still get into windows and I still lock up. only thing left in was vid card, and 256 meg curcial pc 133 ram.



could it be the PS? MBM doesnt give me any voltage spikes, or dips, though. 🙁


any other ideas?

A program called Morpheus. This app managed to make my PC go from reboot-every-power-outage to lock-up-everyday. Also I had a dead fan in my PS once, and that used to lock up my PC also.

hard to diagnose, and not have it in hand 😉
my experience most NT/2K lockups are from overclocking

in reality anything can be broken.. did it just start doing it?
do you have another video card you can try??
if you are overclocking, try it at normal speeds

have you just installed something new??
does it lock up while booting or after running a while(how long)

if you are using it for playing games the 770 is out of date(if you can afford money for a new video card anyway)
