They are probably running a packet filtering system. So it actually looks at the packets to see what type they are and does not block just by port...

If as I suspect they are running a packet filter firewall/NAT then you are kind of screwed.

Also just so you know I bet it filters both ways. So you can't send out anything other than HTTP/POP3...... And nothing can come in but HTTP/POP3....

Can you connect to any internet BF games?

Hell if I know. I'm using GUILD FTP if that helps. I haven't done much to it, I just wanted to see if it would work.

People have tried to ping my IP in general, and i'm not even found.
 
FTP might be allowed for him to connect to a server. But they can block it on there side so there is not FTP servers running on their campus.

 
FTP is definately blocked on this campus. If someone is on campus, they can access my ftp or Brett's just fine but outside doesn't work.
