Are you the 2% or 98% of the population?

Follow the instructions.
NO PEEKING AHEAD!

AND NO LOOKING AT OTHER'S ANSWERS BELOW :p

Free will or synaptic wiring? You be the judge.
Do the following exercise, guaranteed to raise an eyebrow.
There's no trick or surprise.

Just follow these instructions, and answer the questions one at a time and as quickly as you can! Again, as quickly as you can but don't advance until you've done each of them .... really. Now, scroll down (but not too fast, you might miss something).

THINK of a number from 1 to 10

MULTIPLY that number by 9

If the number is a 2-digit number, ADD the digits together

Now SUBTRACT 5

DETERMINE which letter in the alphabet corresponds to the number you ended up with (example: 1=a, 2=b, 3=c,etc.)

THINK of a country that starts with that letter

REMEMBER the last letter of the name of that country

THINK of the name of an animal that starts with that letter

REMEMBER the last letter in the name of that animal

THINK of the name of a fruit that starts with that letter

Are you thinking of a Kangaroo in Denmark eating an Orange?

I told you this was FREAKY!! At least for me it was. If not for you, you're among the 2% of the population whose minds are different enough to think of something else. 98% of people will answer with kangaroos in Denmark eating oranges when given this exercise. Freaky, huh?

I was thinking of a Cougar in the Dominican Republic eating a Rasberry! :Q :)

But then most of you probably always knew(or suspected) that I was just a little off-center anyway. ;)

Hmmm,

I had a Koala in Denmark eating an Apple.

I guess I'm almost 98%....

By the way you will always get to the "D" It is a mathematical force.

Is this because:
2x9 = 18 --- 1+8 = 9
3x9 = 27 --- 2+7 = 9
4x9 = 36 --- 3+6 = 9
5x9 = 45 --- 4+5 = 9
6x9 = 54 --- 5+4 = 9
7x9 = 63 --- 6+3 = 9
8x9 = 72 --- 7+2 = 9
9x9 = 81 --- 8+1 = 9
10x9 = 90 --- 9+ 0 = 9
?

Yeah, I did the Kangaroo/Denmark/Orange combo. Freaked me out. :D

THINK of a number from 1 to 10

1 is a valid choice, which might account for some of the differences, because after you multiply by 9, you still don't have a two-digit number. ;)

Still gotta multiply it by 9...that's why all of the answers still end up at 9...then subtract 5 you get 4 which = D in the alphabet.

If the number is a 2-digit number, ADD the digits together

So if you get 9, then you CAN'T add the two digits together :p
