OT: Anyone besides me in the snow

I spent some time in Alaska, so I know snow and cold, but here in good old NC, 12" to 14" is big stuff. Unfortunately, I think my camara is at the office..........:frown:.............of course here the snow melts the next day practically, in Alaska this would still be on the ground in May.

So I'm sittin' home counting WU's every couple minutes............... 😛 😛.............(and looking up "NEF")

Central Ohio area, it's supposed to be in the 50s today, and we might see 60 tomorrow. Sunny. No snow in sight. 😀

Nah, it's 36°F and sunny right now, and it's supposed to get up to 52°F later. (we'll see, but I don't think it's going to get that warm)

Yes, I've got alot of snow here. This was from a month ago, now there's about another foot.
Wow, I haven't seen a birch tree in a long time. I lived in Mentor, Ohio but left in 1980. Haven't seen that white stuff since then. Must admit I do kinda miss it.

Well, it's 28F here in southern Alaska. 🙂 Snow is actually half melted now, you can see ground, but along the roads there is still a few feet from the plows.

Xemus,
I was in Fairbanks area for better part of a year. Beautify country but it could be brutal. The only crunching going on back then was snow and ice. Of course we got a lot of good first hand views of the aurora. 😀

I am glad for the experience, but was really happy to get back to the "lower 48". 😎 😛
Well, I am off to dig my way to the road.................:frown:

Zbox,
I don't have a digital camera................yet. Just a cheap point and shoot Cannon. 🙂

Fairbanks and anything north of it are only for those that like punishment. -100F in the winter and 100F in the summer. When the temperature can change 60 degrees and still be below freezing, there's something wrong. 🙂
