Nothing happens when I click that link. The pointer switches to a hand but when I click nothing happens. It says invite 5 friends but I can't get it to work.

Do you have a popup blocker on?

Not that I know of but I switched to the secure server and everything works fine now.

First 3 TA members to PM me with first/last name and an email address will get an invite 🙂

A few quick questions:

[1] If someone follows a link with one of mine invitations, I know it will get a signup screen with a name on it, most probably my own name. Will that email account be linked to my own account, or will it be a totally independent account? Will the person which sends the invitation will in any way be able to check any kind of info about the accounts created under his own invitations?

[2] Will an account created now (gmail is in beta version) still be available when gmail gets "released"?

Any more links available? 🙂

Got some to give away as well, anyboy want one? PM me 😀

b4u, Each person's account is his own, and nobody else has access to it. Current mail accounts will stay as they are when gmail goes live. 😉

and it's spent!

31 minutes, not too long ago a invite would have never lasted that long in public view 😛

This may sound stupid...but how do you people figure out what the link to the invite is so you can post it!?

Garry, when you have an account at gmail, they will occasionally put a link on the main page of the webmail interface letting you invite friends to join.

I've seen that...that asks you to enter someone's name/email address.

However, I'm asking how people get the links which they have been posting to the forums etc.
