Is it OK for you to kill the man who kills your son? It is not. Is it OK for you to steal the car of the person who stole your car? Absolutely not.

Just like its not OK for us to simply kill the man who is responsible for several thousand deaths. Let justice prevail - let a jury convict him and at least society says he should die. It is not our business to say "just kill him".

It is also wrong for all of you to be jubilant about it.

People like you are why tyranny exists and why terrorism is so damn hard to fight.

Is it wrong for me to tell you to fuck off? No.

Now if you don't mind, I have to continue to celebrate the US killing Bin Laden.

Yes and yes. Lawful? No. Right? Probably.

Criminals thrive on society's mercy and unwillingness to act!

Wolf Blitzer on CNN said it about 10 minutes again. Sorry can't find a link

Thanks anyways... just heard about it on FoxNews as well... I'm sure we'll all know more details tomorrow. I'm just glad that malignant bastard is dead. I hope he suffered and died slowly.

The reason you keep hearing misinformation is because you are watching Faux News.

do you want a fucking trial for every enemy soldier killed too?

moron

As others have said I celebrate the news but don't really agree with true celebration. Perhaps that's because I dislike any form of strong patriotism in general. That and I don't really celebrate the death of anyone no mater the person. But again it IS good news. Though they better be on even higher alert now for reprisal attacks.

I'm not one for hyper nationalism, but I really don't see how anyone can not celebrate the death of mass murderers like Bin Laden, Stalin, Mao, etc...

They're sociopaths. I don't feel sorry for sociopaths because they don't feel empathy for anyone.

IF the Pakistanis wanted him dead they would have killed him themselves and taken all the credit.

It's not as simple as that. Pakistan is very much a country divided. There are many in the government who support al-Qaeda and there are many who do not, who would like to see Pakistan modernized and moved towards Indian style prosperity. The US works with the later in the government of course. But it's not in the interest of these people in government to be seen working too closely with the US. Otherwise they risk alienating their own people and popular support within their country. They work with the US as little as possible while still giving them enough info to help the US put a serious thorn in the side of the terrorists (because they don't want to see the terrorists overthrown them in government). So it would be VERY much in their interests to leak info to the US and have the US do all the dirty work. They don't really want to be seen to be all that much linked with this otherwise there might be a revolt.

They had info about his location since August. It would be cool if they captured him in August and have been extracting information from him since then that can/will be used to dismantle the Al Quaeda network, and then disposed of him when they got everything they needed.

Even with UBL dead he has still won IMO. What he has done to this country still has great affect on us and we might never go back to the way it was.

al quaeda is toast and have been for ages. We kicked the everliving shit out of AQ just after Bush's invading Afghanistan.

It's the Taliban that's the threat, now, the Suni extremists from Syria and Saudi Arabia that we have to worry about now which is a totally different network. That's the way it's been since 2002/2003.

Do you think that he has accomplished what he wanted to accomplish? We have to take our shoes off before we get on airplanes. That's quite an accomplishment.
