OS PROBLEM HELP!

Idunno but everytime I startup it displays some sort of message:

cannot upgrade system file %1 to %2
%1:%2
Windows may experience errors on startup. If you continue to experience any more problems please run setup again.
Press any key to continue.

And after I press anykey it starts up just fine.
But the bad thing is that my dad is threatening me to take away my cable internet if he sees that again.

where's the anykey?

What OS is this?! I haven't seen this on Win2K. It sounds like a Win95/98 problem. And why would your dad take away the cable connection if this is happening? It seems like a OS problem to me.

Its WINme. I don't know why. It's not really a problem though.

Well that takes awhile. Do i lose files if i do that? What is %1 and %2 file anyways?

you realize that there is an OS forum here.. and also a technical support forum! USE THEM... if everyone used other forums correctly, then response time would be better...
