OK i'm running Windows XP and today my computer froze. When I turn it on now, it goes to this blue screen that says :

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
A problem has been detected and windows has been shut down to prevent damage.

*UNMOUNTABLE_BOOT_VOLUME*

Check to make sure any new hardware or software is properly installed. If this is a new installation ask your Hardware or software manufacturer for any windows updates you might need.

If problems continue, disable or remove any newly installed Hardware or software. Disable BIOS memory options such as caching or shadowing.

The thing is that i can't even boot up on safemode, last good configuration, or normal mode. The blue screen keeps on coming up everytime i try to restart.

<< Nope. Like I said, I can't boot up so how can I reinstall anything ? >>

1. Set bios to boot from cd
2. insert cd
3. boot off of cd
4. reinstall OS

Don't reformat if you don't have to, just boot like n0c said and when it detects your previous installation, it can do a repair/overinstall.
