OS help please!

Ok, here's the deal, I've finally got my computer working correctly and I don't know what to do about the OS. See I bought Windows XP a year or two back and it won't install on my computer that I built. It says to install a full version or something like that and it asks me to install one of the follow: Windows XP Home Edition <Full Version> Windows XP Business Edition <Full Version> etc. So is there a way I can format my HDD with like an older version of windows or something like that?

I have two other HDDs that have Windows XP on them and they work fine. For the record this is the retail version of Windows XP that I bought from Wal-Mart (though it does say upgrade all over it) So is it possible for me to format my new HDD (Seagate 200GB SATA, my others are ATA I think, I've got a GA-K8NF-9 mobo btw and it has RAID)? Any help would be greatly appreciated guys.

You have the upgrade version of XP. You have to have an upgradeable version of Windows intalled on the PC.

To do a clean install with an upgrade version of XP, you have to have proof that you own an upgradable version of Windows, such as a Windows 98 CD, and insert that CD when asked during the XP install.
