OS boot Problem

I just installed CloneCD - a burning program. My computer boots normally, however I can only get about 10 seconds into the OS before it just auto-reboots. I can't figure out what's wrong and I'm wondering if anyone here knows how to fix this problem?

I'm running win2k pro

I've also tried to start the OS in safe mode and whatnot, to no avail. Tried to not log in or touch the computer in any way, and it still reboots automatically after around 10 seconds
 
It never happened before installing Clone CD? You could try reinstalling the OS or repairing the install. It could also be a problem with the Power Supply.
 
How would I repair the install from DOS? Also a funny thing is that I only have about 200 mb's of hd space left, so how could I delete folders from the program files dir?
 
You don't want to just delete stuff. It should always be properly uninstalled. You can screw things up worse. You can try booting to the CDROM and watch for where it says to push r for the recovery console. Just a thought. Of course its easier when I'm sitting in front of the problem computer.
 
Last known good configuration can work only if you haven't been logged into the OS since the error. Since you have already been into the OS, that will be recorded as the Last know good. So, if it looks like its not a hardware problem, a reinstall of the OS (backup your registry first) or the recovery console is your next best bet.
 
I tried last good config and the funny thing is that I had logged in beforehand (when it still rebooted) and it still reboots after last good config : (
 
I don't think it's a power supply problem because i can still get into the OS itself for a time. I don't think my RAM is gone because one program shouldn't do that. I think it could be the installer running still, or an auto-startup program that has gone bad...
 
i can't uninstall because i can't get into the OS long enough to even open up the control panel.

My win2k startup disks are corrupt, is it worth it to download them on this PC and re-make them?
 
Do I do that with win2k startup disks or by putting the CD in the pc?
Also is a surface scan worthwhile in this scenario?
 
Change your boot sequence in the bios to boot to the CDROM before the HD. When you reboot, it will ask you to press a key to boot to the CDROM. (if I remember correctly). Then, watch for the recovery console option on the bottom of the screen. Before that, find directions on how to backup your registry from DOS. I don't know how to do it off the top of my head.
