Hi,

I'm having problems with a machine thats running OS/2 Warp. I have 2 partitions. C and D. I'm not experienced on it, and it has critical info on it that I would not want to lose. On boot up I'm getting the error

SYS02025
SYS02027

There are no disks in the system. I am reading that the 02025 error is the same as a Disk Read Error in DOS.
And the 02027 is a Insert System Boot Disk message.

I have the boot disks in my hand. Just wanted to know if there were any special things I needed to know before I get started. And most of all, what do I do when I get started. This is actually a business PC, so I can't afford to lose ANY data, and reinstalling all the software would take FOREVER.

Thanks

It means the boot manager partition is not set to active.

Boot from the Utility disks and at the Prompt type fdisk c:
and follow the instructions on the screen.

I did a debug on the OS/2 Warp 4 system. It's showing that I have a bad cluster. I was wondering, can I run PC-DOS on this system and run a scandisk to see exactly what is failing? If so, where can I find this PC-DOS?

Try HDD Regenerator It claims to be able to fix hard drives and after using it on two of mine, it seems to be making a valid claim.

This site doesn't have PCDOS, but you can find several flavors of MSDOS here. PCDOS is nothing but the IBM licensed version of MSDOS.

There is also a D: Partition on the drive that I can boot from. Is there any way I can fix the C: drive from the D: drive?
