Going to the funnest place on earth. Any suggestions for a fun memorial day weekend that does not involve any mice, roller coasters, hugely overpriced theme parks, or any of that? Just the wife and I - no kids. (Yes I understand there is no way to completely AVOID kids, but just saying that I don't have any).

Shopping? You can go to Universal City Walk, some stores and restaurants outside the two theme parks. Orlando Premium outlet mall. Disney has Boardwalk and Downtown Disney, two places with food and shopping. Epcot does a nice fireworks show each night that you can see from Boardwalk (Boardwalk has a decent dueling piano bar). Its about a 35-45 minute drive to Cocoa Beach if you want some sand and surf. Tons of mini golf courses everywhere. Discovery Cove and swim with Dolphins for $300?? Sea World... Check out International Drive, lots of Restaurants, and some neat places like Ripleys 'Believe it or Not'.

Dont leave stuff in your car or it will get stolen.

Go to Funky Monkey on I-Drive. Ask for Alex. Tell him Boston Matt sent you.

I promise you won't be disappointed. The food is amazing.

Then go next door to "Alehouse" and order Cherry Wheat on tap 😛

Also, if you go to FM on Friday night they have a drag queen show that's pretty funny. But any other night it's pretty quiet and VERY good food.

There is a huge lake not too far south of Orlando that gives kickass airboat rides and you get to see some gators, and these are not the wimpy airboats..these have car engines on them.

Yah it actually a business thing - I'm going up early over the weekend with the wife and spending a couple days there. (BTW from broward so its not like its a long haul, just never did much besides the i-drive and theme parks before).

Kennedy Space Center. Atlantis isn't rolling out to the launch pad until Tuesday, so you might miss that, but there's a bazillion other awesome things to see there.
