Orion plant rolls out last Pontiac for U.S.

Orion Township -- The ride is over for the brand that put rolling excitement on the road for generations of Americans.
General Motors Co. built the last Pontiac for the U.S. market today: a white, G6 sedan that rolled off the assembly line in Orion Township at about 12:45 p.m.

Bye bye Pontiac.

kinda sad to see the g8 die. but the rest of the lineup was meh at best. although the g6 refresh was going to be on the same platform as the cady ATS so that would have been a real nice car

That is sad. I really like the G8 and the Solstice. Wish GM would rebadge them as Chevys.

Perhaps not Pontiac specifically, but GM should have killed some of it's subsidiaries a long time ago. They did Olds, but that wasn't enough. Always sad to see something with such a long History die though, like Olds, Plymouth, AMC.

I have a G6 rental car right now. I like the engine and stereo is alright.

The rest of the car does not make me sad to see pontiac to go away. I will say however, that I miss my 1993 bonneville 🙁
