Overstock.com has this card for 81.27, and there is a $20 of $60 coupon widely available on the net.
I cannot vouch for overstock.com, but i can tell you this is one sweet 802.11b card. I have one that is rebranded as HP, and it is sweet, never failed me. Constant driver updates as well. Enjoy

actually the overstock deal is better...

overstock: $81.27-$20.00(coupon)+$3.95(shipping) = $65.22 (total)
justdeals: $59.95+$11.95(shipping)+$4.95(tax if in CA) = $76.85 (total)

Thanks for the info. Curious why justdeals is selling that RangeLAN for 40 bucks, they say it retails for 199.

So yea heard this card was sweet? Any comments? I'm currently in the market to buy a card and was wondering what you guys thought of this deal.

yes the card is sweet.
Works very well in my home network...
Actually I am using one right now on my lappy 🙂

If you are interested in higher level of security then get the gold version...

as for the price... $60-70 is decent...

I picked a lightly used one up a few weeks ago
in the Anandtech Forsale/trade forums for $55 shipped.

FYI - The $20 off $60 coupon is good for new customers only. The only coupon that's good for all customers is the 5% off one.

Does anyone think this card will make a difference in my range? I have a d-link 713p and a dlink card and right now I get decent range but I can't get outside of my house or I will have no signal.

just so you guys know... the orinocos are nice because they work w/ netstumber (war driving, baby!) and they DO have a connector for an external antenna. also, they can be used on ipaqs, etc (they have supported drivers). i was also able to make an orinoco gold work in linux AOK (had to read the pcmcia how-to, but after that, it was easy)

check out netstumbler. take your laptop in your car, and you will find access points. i found about 30 in as many minutes (11 with no WEP enabled)

This card is awesome. I have one (rebranded as a Toshiba; I am using it now) and I also have a D-Link USB wireless NIC. The silver gets MUCH better signal strength, even though they are both talking to a D-Link wireless access point. If you need one of these, this is a great card and the price is very good.

<< Overstock.com has a Best Price Guarantee. Anyone know if you could pricematch with justdeals? >>

Tried it before and it did not work. They will take the coupon into consideration. Most likely, your overstock order will be fulfilled by justdeals anyway.

Hey...do any of you guys know if the Addtron AWU-120 11M USB Wireless Network Adapter which Overstock has for SALE for $65.99, is it any good???
