I just got this email:

Company: Pipeworks

JobDescription: Pipeworks is looking for Game Programmers for its
Eugene, Oregon Studio

Pipeworks is a part of Foundation 9 Entertainment, the largest
independent game developer in North America. We develop games for all
current generation and future generation consoles. We are looking for
entry-level programming candidates to work on our game engine and tools,
and to assist with several titles in development.

Requirements: Requirements:

* Strong math background
* Knowledge of C++
* A drive to make excellent software, both functionally, and
technically.
* A passion for creating and playing video games

Desirable attributes:

* CS degree
* Knowledge of graphics and games programming
* Knowledge of WxWidgets

What else:

The games industry is intense and competitive. Candidates must be able
to show the potential to become great programmers. Each person can do
this in his or her own way, but two good ways are:

* A code sample that does something interesting. The best way to
show you can program is to show a program you have written!
* Academic success. A high GPA and/or academic awards in a
rigorous major correlate well with success and a programmer.

Does anyone know a good job site for Las Vegas jobs? They say that 5,000 people move there each month, but I never can find many computer jobs. I usually check monster and the vegas paper.

Good I hope they fired every one of the previous Examiners granting insane Patents the last few years.

just found this but if you have never been an examiner you have no idea what kind of pressure it is go over an application

some people have as little as 6-7 hours to determine if something is "patentable"

anyway USPTO is still hiring heavily see link

Good job for somebody going to school at night, no degree required. It's not at all hard, but it's a little laborious. Experience with SAP a plus. Good office atmosphere, nice people, good boss - bring headphones to work and just listen to music all day or something while you key data.

PM me with questions or to apply.
