I'm glad you don't think someone should do this. Since O'Reilly didn't it's all good.

I swear sometimes I think that if I say I'm going to kick someone in the ass that the PETA loons will be after me.

I DO think O'Reilly is a putz, but he did nothing wrong, and has been said he was defending her by NOT engaging in attacking her without proof using an extremely common and entirely harmless metaphor. If people get bent out of shape out of this they should seek psychotherapy for their paranoia.

LOL. I was watching Keith Olbermann ranting about this and laughed at his foolishness. Normally I like Keith and his rants, but come on. I kept thinking of the lynching of pirates and wondered if Keith wanted to censor the PotC movies so they don't show pirated being hanged.

What a non-issue. O'Reilly is a complete jackass, but to hang him over this is utterly ridiculous.

Racist!

Wait, he is white, it's ok!!

Nooooooo... Hang/Lynch White/Black Can't you see?!?
Don't you take away my sense of moral outrage and entitlement!

There are 3 types of people that overreact to this non-issue bullsh*t.

1- overly politically correct white people who probably don't buy fried chicken or watermelon if a black man is within 50 feet.

2-Jesse Jackson

3-Al Sharpton

the last 2 actually probably have more important things to worry about than what some tv personality says in the course of conversation.

it was a really poor choice of words...and i love all these idiotic analogies coming from the racist apologists in this thread.

I don't think he necessarily was being racist, but once again, a really, really poor choice of words to be referring to a black woman who may be the first lady in the near future nonetheless.

and Jmman, " I swear, PC is out of control. Eventually all words will be banned because it offends someone out there......... "

give me a break. this is BILL OREILLY..people are making a big deal out of it because hes a jackass and they dont think that he has good intentions most of the time

Wow that's the first time I've even been called a racist apologist.

See that all you guys who say I'm a fucking Liberal!!!! If I were some kind of fucking Liberal would a person who feels guilty because he's white call me a racist apologist?

Now where's that Confederate Flag, it was just hanging up the other..whoops, I said Hanging:shocked:

Like those nooses?

O'Reilly didn't mention nooses, did he? Nope.

Your elf hat is screwed on too tight.
Or his elf shoes are to tight.
You both should apologize because if that's not a racial insult, I don't know what is.

On behalf of all persons of normal stature I would like to extend my apologies to any pointy-eared runt who may have been offended by the above comments.

If this is an example of the kind of crap this country is going to have to put up with if we elect a black Pres/First Lady then perhaps I should switch my vote.

This is definitly not the new direction I thought/hoped Obama was talking about. Perhaps somethings never change??

As mentioned above, the only people who are likely to make a big deal of this are al sharpton, jesse jackson, and white guys who are misguided.

If oreilly said he didn't want to be "gassing Joe Lieberman unless he really hates america" I wonder if the reaction would be the same.

This is just the beginning. Eight more years of this shit will undo any progress this country has seen regarding race relations. Being forced to watch our every word and being called a racist every time we disagree. People will only take so much of this shit and many have already had enough.

I certainly hope your right and this country is beyond that crap..... but even if you're right we're still going to have to put up with Rev Al/JJ/whoever trying to play the PC/victim card every chance they get. I fail to see how that will be condusive to race relations in the long run.

This is just F'ing rediculous...

Chuck

Agree 100%

Seems the only place I've heard of this "drama" is here. But I see Olberman is in on it too. His facination with O'Reilly borders on insanity.

He was never mayor of San Francisco. It was Moscone who was the Mayor killed along with Milk by former Supervisor Dan White while he was raging from to many twinkies (He used that defense to beat the Murder rap)

Red, that's actually not correct about the trial. First, he didn't 'beat the rap', he was convicted of a crime many felt was too light and served five years in prison; the twinkie defense was the media hyped phrase about a trivial part of the defense, which was about depression. Note, White killed himself soon after he was released from prison.

Here are two articles I suggest you read. The first specifically addresses the mythology of the 'twinkie defense', the second is an excellent account of the real story of the murders.

I was living there when it happened so I know all about it, I just gave the Readers Digest version of it
