In Oregon, indecent exposure is when the genitals are exposed, so these ladies broke no laws.
 
Morning radio show, a woman called in who was there and saw the march, said it was a lot of fatties and uglies who really should've been wearing shirts. Obviously, there isn't a source on this.
 
Among a couple dozen women marching, there had to have been at least one rack worth looking at. Titties ain't got no face.

The general idea is that we become comfortable with the idea that women baring breasts is so commonplace that it becomes non-sexualized. Therefore, it wouldn't be porn.

Also, people equate nudity with porn, while the two are actually pretty distinct.

That's true, but in our culture that's about what it would take. Eventually that would change, however expecting that taking off clothing in public wouldn't draw stares wouldn't be demonstrating a good understanding of how things are.
 
Can you imagine the uproar this would cause?

After all, it's not okay to for kids to see tits, only to see aliens/people exploded in wonderful gratuity.

Its a little hard to understand why we maintain a female breast titty taboo in this day and age. Before the internet, curious boys had to find back issues of National Geographic or find someones collection of porn to see the endless variations of the female breast anatomy.

But now anyone with a computer, can spend 24/7/365 doing the same, and its in a video format, one can watch those female breasts react to the dynamic stresses of the entire range of suspended free weights in motion.

But still, such human nudity taboos persists unabated. By world standards us Americans are more sexually uptight than average, but it really has to be over the top to demand females be covered head to toe in burkas in public.

Agreed (and amused.) What's also bizarre is our propensity to show buck naked and often quite attractive post-pubescent but underage girls from other cultures (i.e. African, South American, and various island) whilst maintaining quite strict standards for our own post-pubescent but underage girls even if they are aggressively and happily displaying. If they are shown on our televisions, they are in OUR culture whether they are in the Okavango Delta or the Mississippi Delta. Pick a lane, society, this tortuous twisting of logic is making us all dizzy.

Wrong. The US is less sexually uptight than average when taking into account the entire world. The world is not just Western Europe.

The truth of the matter is, nudity is taboo because of two reasons:
1. women do not like sexual harassment and there would be more of this if all women were naked.
2. women actually make nudity more valuable by forming a cartel to limit the supply of nudity.

"Society" is merely the enforcer of such desires. "Society" doesn't have a mind of its own.
 
I'd like to say for the record: Boobs are much nicer when they're special. If we saw them constantly they would no longer be awesome.

I dont think they should be allowed out all the time. Only in porn, strip clubs, and nude beaches.
 
We could possibly make one point because only human females, in all of the monkey and ape species have developed prominent breasts. And there are various scientific theories that those prominent human female breasts did something of evolutionary advantage to promote family structure and human reproduction.

Yet engineering wise, those perky female breasts in youth give rise to sagging titties in middle age. The invention of bras do much to delay the inevitable effects of gravity, especially in the set of human females who are well endowed.

So to some extent, clothes are a wise female choice. And for that matter, during severe winter weather, its rather rare to see topless males running around outside.
 
How come they were not arrested? Dont they have laws about public exposure. They should all be placed on the Child Predator List.

Actually there is a video out that took about 2 seconds to find with google. There were those and some nice looking ladies as well.
 
This is really an old topic. About 20 years ago when I lived in Florida there were woman going door to door with petitions complaining how men could go topless but not women.
 
Of ALL the issues this country has, these women decided to tackle this one? I mean, this is an issue I can thoroughly support, but still.
