Means no antibiotics, steroids, hormones or animal by-products were given to the chickens producing the eggs.

I don't notice the taste difference with the eggs so much, but the milk is definitely noticeable IMO.

Well, I'm allergic to milk, so that's not a big deal. Eggs, though... I love bacon and eggs.

The eggs SHOULD taste different. If you feed one chicken only vegetarian meals, and another chicken mashed up chicken or other animals, the eggs should taste different. It's the same reason your pee stinks when you eat asparagas, or you crap smells different because of what you eat. 🙂

did you grow up on a farm?

No, I didn't. There is a reason you can buy vegetarian -or- organic eggs in the supermarket now. The "regular" eggs they sell are from chickens whose diets consist partially of meat(other animals).

hahahaha, vegetarian eggs.

One advantage of living in the country is that there are small chicken farmers around. At one of my internships, one of the chemists had free range chickens, she'd bring in eggs every few days. Something like a dollar a dozen. They were GOOD. Probably pretty close to organic eggs I'd guess.

Fresh milk is good too. A little rich for me, I'm used to 2%.

I have more organic eggs than I know what to do with. I live in a city but we have an acre in the back. And in that acre we have 16 chickens. We get about a dozen eggs a day mostly brown but we get 2 green shelled ones. That way I can eat a bunch of egg whites, toss the yolks and not feel too bad. If there was a way to ship eggs I would so you could all try them for free.....i guess I could hard boil them...hmm

edited for clarity and grammar.

they do taste different. However, if they are well-cooked, you won't be able to tell the difference.

free range eggs verse store-bought white eggs do taste different IMHO. The free range egg is so much better, has a totally different texture and character than the store bought.

My mom has about 30 chickens and I get a few dozen eggs whenever I see her.
